I joined the Army right out of high school, all because of a recruiter and his Harley! I never looked back, left California and have been gone ever since. My family is still in CA. I attended basic training Fort Jackson, SC, went through my skill training at Fort Gordon, GA and then went to Schofield Barracks, HI as my first duty station. Who could have asked for a better place to start their career. Although too young, I married my first husband in January of 1986. I was barely 18. Had 2 sons, Robert and Christopher, who are now 24 and 23. I stayed in Hawaii until 1998...yup, 12 years in paradise, and had one more child, my sweet daughter, Jacqueline, who is now almost 14. Unfortunately, my marriage ended in 2000 and I remained single until just recently. When I left Hawaii, I was re-stationed in Wisconsin, on active duty working for the Army Reserve.
